Starting the Clinic!

I bought my tickets! I leave for Nairobi January 12th and return April 12th. I can only spend so much time there now as I work towards my permanent residency here in Costa Rica. I have to be here 180 days per year. This way, I can also attend my daughters’ respective graduations—very important! After I have my permanent residency here in two-three years, I will only “have to” spend one day here annually. I love it here, but that will free me to do more work in Nairobi. I also cannot afford to stay here longer as people have not started to rent my Airbnb yet! Come on y’all! Vacation on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica for a cause!

I have a primary funder for the clinic itself! We will work out details of how much he can fund when I have arrived. If I require further funding, I will keep readers appraised! From experience and upon the advice of those who have lived there, I will not order medications and supplies ahead of time. This will take time, and I need to prepare myself to take the time it requires. This way, money does not go to waste, and things do not go missing, etc. I also have a place to stay—the WOFAR shelter—Women For African Refugees, and a place to run the clinic out of—the HAIG shelter—Humanity Aid Initiative Group. What I do NOT have:

  1. Money to continue to help the shelters I have consistently supported with rent, food, etc. WOFAR will need less now with their chicken operation, but I anticipate needing $11,400 for 2025.
  2. Money for a used van to transport the chickens that WOFAR raises to end-buyers. $4250
  3. Money for my own living expenses such as food, transportation, personal medications, etc. $1000 per month x 3 months=$3000.

        Total: $18, 650

PLEASE GIVE GENEROUSLY! What better way to avoid paying so much tax to the incoming administration than by giving to an LGBTQ+-Ally ministry?!? Of course, you can also book my Airbnb!
